Michael Gardiner is the author of "Modern Kosher: Global Flavors, New Traditions," published by Rizzoli in September, 2020, and the forthcoming "Cali-Baja Cuisine: Ensenada Aguachiles, Tijuana Taco Stands and San Diego Cali Burritos" (Rizzoli, September 2023). Michael is a regular, multi-prize-winning food feature writer for The San Diego Union-Tribune as well as Edible San Diego magazine. He is also a Contributing Editor for The Cook's Cook, a weekly online publication with over 18,000 monthly unique website visitors. He was the long-time restaurant reviewer for the late-lamented San Diego CityBeat.
