Maryana Lucia Vestic is a food writer, food photographer, home cook/baker, and memoirist, with a background in filmmaking, the business and legal side of entertainment, and publishing. She worked as an Editor-at-Large for the lifestyle magazine Harper's Market (back when the internet was still young) and wrote everything from music video scripts to print interviews with former dancers at Studio 54. She loves developing recipes and doing food photography for clients that explore the history of food. Maryana's specialties are baking, pasta, one pot, and comfort food. She mostly pushes the pencil about her Croatian-American experience, immigrant dishes, and unearthing the hidden troves of secret recipes.


Maryana has a bachelor's degree in Film Production from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, a master's degree in Irish Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin, and a master's degree in Nonfiction Creative Writing from The New School.
