  • She has worked closely with various artisan cheesemakers, dairy farmers, and cheese shop owners to tell their unique stories and promote their artisan products.
  • She has published two children's books — one which is about an anthropomorphic chili pepper — with a third on the way in 2024.


Ceara has been a professional marketer and writer for more than a decade. Over the years, she has gained writing experience across digital and traditional media. She joined Mashed in January 2021 and loves the opportunity to share wit and wisdom about the foods and beverages that connect cultures and people from all walks of life. Ceara is a proud Midwesterner who was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and currently lives in Milwaukee. She enjoys dining out, experimenting with new recipes at home, and swapping recipes with friends, family members, and colleagues.


Ceara has a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Marquette University, where she double majored in marketing and information technology. She graduated cum laude in 2012.
